Obituary

Edward C. Papineau, 58, of Central Pike in Scituate, passed away on April 30th in his home.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Edward A. and Julie (Collins) Papineau of Culleoka, TN. He had lived in Scituate for his entire life.

Ed had owned his own trucking company, then he owned and operated a swimming pool installation company. He was a mechanic at S&C Collins Bus Company, and Quonset Point Truck and Trailer. His latest job was working for Collins Burner Service, doing plumbing and heating services.

When he was younger, he enjoyed being behind the wheel of a race car, as he raced modifieds at Seekonk Speedway. He was also an avid fisherman.

He leaves his son, Edward C. Papineau, Jr. of Scituate, RI. He was the brother of Alan Papineau of Indian Lakes, FL and Michael Papineau and his wife Diane Papineau of Culleoka, TN. He also leaves many aunts and uncles and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the longtime companion of Linda McGinn of Scituate.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 11th at 10:30am in Philips Memorial Cemetery, North Road, Foster, RI. A gathering will start at 9am to form a funeral procession to Philips Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday May 10th from 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association.
